Run & Gun Kit for Canon EOS T2i / EOS 550D

Our T2i Follow-Focus design offers a great new "slotted-slider" option for moving the Follow-Focus baseplate forward or back for more adjustment options before moving the wheel assembly into a different slot. Our T2i product is now made from billet aluminum!

Our rodless follow-focus assembly has been designed as a companion piece for our very successful iDC Viewfinder and together they form a unit that we call the iDC Run & Gun Kit. If you already have one of our iDC Viewfinders. Our Run & Gun Kits are compatible with the latest generation U-Boat Video Cage. A Quick Release baseplate for the U-Boat is now available and ideally suited for docking this T2i iDC Run & Gun modules when external monitors or audio accessories are desired.

While most gear-driven follow-focus assemblies require an intermediate gear to allow intuitive operation, the iDC Follow-Focus just plain works. Twist the friction wheel counter-clockwise to move the plane of focus towards infinity. Rotate the wheel clockwise to bring the plane of focus towards the camera. Operation is simple, quick, and intuitive! Witness marks are included for both the solo operator and those with the luxury of a camera assistant. Sweet!

Note: Both of our Viewfinder and Follow Focus baseplates can accomodate tripod mounts with a 1/4-20 mount.

Note: Not compatibile with "Zoom" lenses that have a focus ring at the very front of the lens which moves in and out when zooming.

Example : One of the kit lens options for the T2i is not compatible with our Follow Focus is the T2i Canon "EF-S 18-55mm F 3.5-5.6 IS Kit".
